Hi everyone, it took me a while to type all of the steps in a way that I hope is as simplified as possible, not everyone is a programmer (including me) or familiar with looking at some code and Shortcuts can seem a little daunting if you've never dealt with any of that.
It turns out I can't share the Automation directly, you can only share shortcuts. These are all of the instructions, if you need further help I'll be happy to answer anyone and I've included screenshots of what I'm referring to.
Step 1. Open the "Shortcuts" app (if you don't have this you can download it on the App Store, it is an official Apple app) and tap "Automation" at the bottom.

Step 3. Scroll down to where it says "App" and tap it.
Step 4. Tap "Choose" and select the "MiniMed Mobile" app from the list.
Step 5. Select "Is Opened" (should be the default option) and select "Run Immediately" at the bottom, make sure to turn off "Notify When Run".
Step 6. Tap "Next" in the top right, on the next screen under the "Get Started" heading choose "Create New Shortcut".

I just switched to a **Pixel 9** from an **iPhone 12**, and I’m trying to rebuild my health tracking setup.
On iOS, I used **Apple Health** as a central hub. I'm not super active and don't use a daily smartwatch, but I **track my workouts with Strava**, and I used to log all my health data in Apple Health, including:
* Steps and distances
* Sleep
* Weight and height
* Alcohol and drug intake
* Occasional logs from apps like Zepp, Mi Fitness, Huawei Health, etc.
It was great having everything in one place.
I’ve read some older threads, but most people focus only on **fitness tracking** (workouts, heart rate, etc.).
What I’m really looking for is a **complete health hub**, like Apple Health — something that lets me:
* Log personal metrics manually
* Track lifestyle habits (alcohol, meds, etc.)
* Sync with third-party apps and services
* View everything in a structured, timeline-based dashboard
So far I’ve tried:
* **Google Fit** – nice idea, but super minimal and doesn’t even track things like alcohol or medication
* **Fitbit** – seems very fitness-oriented, not great for general health tracking
* **Samsung Health** – better than Fitbit, but doesn't import my

Everything I found either didn’t work consistently, or required a paid/third‑party API.
So I built the **Health Data Export** android app, which reads data directly from Health Connect and exports it to:
* **Google Sheets** (pushes data into a spreadsheet)
* **CSV** (saved locally so you can import anywhere)
Since it integrates with Health Connect, **it can read and export data from virtually all wearables!** It supports per-day exports across categories like Activity, Body Measurements, Sleep, Nutrition, Cycle Tracking, and Vitals (including high-volume metrics like heart rate / HRV / SpO2 / respiratory rate).
It also includes:
* **Auto export** to sync your data to CSV files or to the cloud.
* **Manual export** to manually only export a specific date range
* **Historical data export** to export your entire historical health metrics

I want to share a project I've been working on for a few years now. It's called **Frixos** — a family of daylight projection clocks built on ESP32, running ESP-IDF, with integrations for Home Assistant, CGM devices (Dexcom, Freestyle Libre, Nightscout), OpenWeather, and [Finnhub.io](http://Finnhub.io) stock quotes. The firmware source code is available on GitHub for personal use.
**Full transparency:** I also sell these as finished devices at [buyfrixos.com](https://buyfrixos.com/). But the firmware is open source, and I genuinely want to share the project with this community, get feedback, and hopefully inspire some builds.
# How it started
A few years ago I wanted a projection clock I could actually read during the day. Tried a bunch of commercial ones — they were all dim red LEDs that vanished the moment sunlight hit the room. I stumbled across [shufps/diy-projector-clock](https://github.com/shufps/diy-projector-clock) on GitHub, which proved the concept of using an LCD + high-power LED as a projection source. That was the spark. I took the idea and ran with it in a completely different direction — full-color projection, smart home integration, health monitorin

a few months ago, i shared a small tool i built: a way to see my CGM data overlaid on my **Strava** activities. i just wanted to understand what my glucose was doing during runs.
i posted it here. hundreds of you tried it all around the world. it was incredible.
but it was just a small piece of the puzzle.
🏃what about that weird spike after 1h run? or after sushis? the unexplained crash at 3pm? we all have these questions. our CGM apps show us what happened, but rarely why.
👨💻 so i kept building.
the vision is simple: understand what moves your glucose.
not just exercise but food, sleep, stress, menstrual cycles, all of it. one simple dashboard that connects to the apps we already use.
**what the app does now:**
✅ real-time glucose — see your current reading and trends at a glance
✅ food — log meals, snap a photo, see your glucose response
✅ sport — connect strava, see your activities with glucose overlay and stats
🔜 sleep, stress, … — coming via wearables (apple health, whoop, …)
🔜 cycle tracking — for those of us who know hormones mess with everything
the idea isn't to replace your CGM app. it's to give you context. to finally see the patterns you

Any Apple watch users have tips on how they access their Freestyle Libre data (or other glucose monitor if I switch)?
I've been using the Libre watch app, but when I asked Siri on the watch to show my blood glucose level it wanted to use Apple Health. Turns out Libre doesn't send our data to Apple Health. Looks like I need a bridge app like: Zukka, Diabeto Log, FLwatch, or GlucoWatch to do this.
Anyone have any experience with making it simple for me to just ask Siri what my blood sugar levels are and getting a quick response?

I use the direct-to-watch Bluetooth pairing from my G7 sensor to my Apple Watch (without my iPhone as part of the chain). I’d like to have my data send from my watch to the Cloud (i.e. to my wife’s phone) without needing my iPhone present or powered on. This would basically make the Apple Watch a standalone uploader of CGM data.
From what I’ve gathered it seems that without an iPhone as an uploader to the cloud, CGM readings are trapped in the Dexcom watch UI and can't be decrypted or shared with other apps. It can technically get pushed to HealthKit, but only with a 3 hour delay (not practical for t1d decisions).
* Is there any private API

Any

* Or is the watch face data strictly UI-only with zero programmatic access by design?

I don’t want to just make a random app — I’d love to hear from people who actually live with it every day. What’s missing from the apps you use now? What would actually make life easier?
For example:
* Do you wish you had better meal/exercise logging linked with glucose?
* Do the constant alarms drive you mad and need to be smarter?
* Would clearer trend graphs or predictions help?
Basically, if you could wave a magic wand and add one feature that would make your diabetes management less stressful or more useful, what would it be?
Any ideas or frustrations are super appreciated.

As someone living with diabetes, I understand the importance of timely glucose information and safety warnings. However, these mandatory alerts—when fixed and non-adjustable—create significant challenges for users like me:

My day-to-day schedule is not fixed and I can get up and start my daily activities at times ranging from 5am (sometimes earlier) to 10am (sometimes later). Importantly, I typically decide my get-out-of-bed time in the morning, not the night before.
What would be ideal is a way to set a reminder that says, X minutes after you get up out of bed and start moving around I'll remind you about Y.
I know that Fitbit Health sends a daily summary to my watch when it thinks I've awakened for the day, but I often spend hours(s) in bed after waking up, or even go back to sleep, so that notification ain't it.
What I'm trying to solve for is that I don't want to set alarms or reminders that either a) are too early and wake me up before I decide to get up or b) are too late and I've missed my window for the subject of that reminder (example: I need to take care of household/personal task Y before I leave the house).
I've resorted to the stupid, practical-effects method of sticky notes on the inside of my closed bedroom door but that's highly inefficient. I mean, if I think of the reminder while laying in bed
