r/Daytrading by u/dataiguy 12 268mo ago Tired of 'trust me bro' crypto advice, I spent 300+ hours building a systematic trading bot that seems to work Disclaimer: I'm sharing this to make myself accountable and have track to read it in the future when this is succesful (or not)
So there I was at 3 AM, staring at my OKX account showing -$1,200 after greediness eating out my profits, reading some Twitter 'guru' explain why some projects are going to make me rich in couple days and watching hours of crypto and stocks content of people that are only interested on selling you stuff.
That's when it hit me - if I'm going to lose money, at least let me lose it scientifically with financial, statistics and ML that I've learn in the past +10 years that I jumped into Engineering world and not based on my greediness and trying to make money fast.
3 months later, with a demo account, my trading bot just crossed the $60 usd daily profit mark with initial balance of $300 and 20x leverage. (NO REAL MONEY YET)
Here's how an engineering, data and ML(now commonly named AI) vackground, too much caffeine, and spite built a system that actually works.
The Problem: Everyone's a Crypto Expert Until They're Not
You know that feeling when every crypto influencer sounds like your uncle at Thanksgiving explaining Bitcoin? That was my life for ywars.

I’ve been in crypto since 2017 - started by mining ETH from my student dorm (free electricity - free money).
Then rode the BSC wave flipping play-to-earn NFTs until the floor fell out, and now I'm balls deep in Solana memecoins because that's where the real action is.
After years of getting rugged, scammed, and occasionally hitting 100x plays, I’ve definitely learned a few things to get through the noise.
So let me share a strategy that’s been working great for scaling your money.
⚠️ First things first: This isn't financial advice. It's a degen's playbook for professional gambling. Want safe returns? Stick to BTC/ETH or stocks.
# The Three-Level System
Think of this like leveling up in a game. Each level has its own risk profile, fund requirements, and potential gains. Master each level before moving up - this isn't a speedrun.
# Level 1: Micro Cap Warfare ($5-$50 plays)
This is where the wildest gains and fastest rekt stories happen. The tokens are so fresh you can smell the Solidity compiler burning.
Raw stats that matter:
* Sub-$100k liquidity
* 400+ hourly transactions
* Fresh pairs (0-24h old)
* Targe

I’ve been following this bot for several months now. As you can see ([https://gmgn.ai/sol/address/LnxGo8pT\_o7RY6P2vQMuGSu1TrLM81weuzgDjaCRTXYRaXJwWcvc](https://gmgn.ai/sol/address/LnxGo8pT_o7RY6P2vQMuGSu1TrLM81weuzgDjaCRTXYRaXJwWcvc)), it generates hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. It operates on Solana memecoins. After analyzing its behavior, I managed to understand a few key aspects of how it works:
1. It only enters newly created tokens and executes trades at the exact same moment as the token’s DEV.
2. It operates exclusively on Pump.fun.
3. It uses dynamic take profits based not on percentage gains but on time-based ranges combined with volume and liquidity. I’m sure of this because I’ve seen it make insane profits—sometimes even 1000x, 2000x, or 3000x returns.
At first glance, replicating this strategy might seem easy, since there are some “free” bots like Photon that allow you to snipe new [Pump.fun](http://pump.fun/) tokens at high speed and enter the market at the same time as the DEV.
But there’s a reason I’m here… I tried running Photon’s bot, entering new [Pump.fun](http://pump.fun/) token launches and settin

I’d buy a coin, forget about it, then come back later and realise it already did a 2x, 3x, even 5x without me noticing.
So I built a simple token scanner + alert bot to fix that.
It’s nothing crazy, just meant to be fast and useful.
Features:
• Real-time token alerts
• Tracks price movement (1x → higher)
• Basic wallet activity monitoring
• Instant notifications
• Lightweight + easy to use
Main focus was speed and simplicity so you can spot things early without overcomplicated dashboards.
Still working on improving it and adding more useful filters.
If anyone’s interested in trying it or giving feedback, let me know.

I'm a 30 year old man, working a soul-crushing service coordinator job. Any spare money i would save on the side for whatever lead to trading (all I could risk without wrecking my life) and decided to go all-in on learning day trading. The dream: financial freedom, no boss, control over my time. The reality: a brutal wake-up call. This is not for everyone lol.

Here's the honest recap so far:
* Year 1: Paper traded for a bit, felt cocky, went live. Blew through the first $2k in like 6 weeks on revenge trades, FOMO entries, and zero risk management. Classic newbie stuff. Felt like garbage.
* Year 2(Took a 5 month break): Studied, Read books, staring at markets all day guessing, built wallet trackers, found a platform built for me, watched live streams, and kept on reading before actually making a move.
* Now: Finally had a turning point. I am now a 20%w/80%L rate. Trying to increase that or make some trades actually worth it. Looking for the light a this never ending tunnel. I know memes are like

(Looking for bot/automation feedback — MES/MNQ + crypto) Hey everyone. I’m looking for honest feedback, especially from anyone who has traded with an automated strategy or bot in the real world.
I’m considering using a bot for my own trading because I’m too emotional and I don’t trust myself to consistently do the right thing in the moment. Cutting losers, not revenge trading, not FOMO. Automation feels like it could remove me from the equation.
I’ve been backtesting this for a while now, and I’m not just looking at one cherry picked run. I’ve tested other models and variations and I’ve also tested across multiple instruments. What I want to share here is what I’m consistently seeing on MES and MNQ, and I’ve also run it on a few cryptos as well.
Quick clarification because I know this matters a lot. These results are not assuming perfect fills. I am including commissions and I’m also applying 2 ticks of slippage per trade in the backtest. I’m trying to keep this as realistic as possible, so if you think it still falls apart live, I genuinely want to know why.
I also don’t necessarily mind the amount of trades or even the commission costs if the edge is real. What I care about is whether this can be run as a true set it and forget it s
View parsed comments (up to 1)Open on Reddit r/Bitcoin by u/Domencrafter 11 3114d ago I trade across 3 exchanges and kept losing track of my real P&L, so I built my own trading journal, looking for ideas. I trade mostly BTC across OKX, Bybit and Pionex, and I am constantly switching between apps and accounts was driving me crazy. Whenever I had profits I'd buy more BTC, then lose track of how much I bought, where I sent it, and what it was actually worth, it's a real pain.
I tried using Excel but it took forever to enter everything by hand, and it takes a lot of time.
So I built a journal that keeps track of all of it in one place — spot trades, futures trades, and my bots — with live prices and a single consolidated P&L view.
It's in early alpha and free, so it still has rough edges.
A few things I'd love feedback on:
* How do you currently keep track of your trades across multiple exchanges?
* What makes Excel (or your current journal) annoying for you?
* What would you actually need from a journal to switch to it?
Open to any feedback or criticism. Please help.

Somebody offered me a Trading Bot which he states generates a ton of money. He gave me read only credentials and I could see that this acc used Exness as a broker. Then I checked if he really was telling the truth and could see, that the bot generates quite a big amount but uses a Martingale System. After I said this he stated that it uses a strategy based of Fibonacci Levels. This was the first reason I did think it was suspicious. After that he gave me a contact of a client of his and I texted with him. He showed me an account, which did not use exness as a broker, that generated 20k in a month. I‘ve also seen withdrawls on the acc and idk if it is legit because I got scammed in the past. Does somebody maybe have an Idea what also could indicate as a red flag? The price itself is not that high but if I could prevent something that would be nice.
